Your Local 110 / 111 Bus Service – Being Improved for You!
We’re excited to announce that our sister company, The Ashbourne Little Bus Company, has now taken over operation of the 110 / 111 service, running between Matlock and Ashbourne via Wirksworth.
As part of the transition, the team is currently reviewing the existing timetable to improve efficiency and accommodate long-term roadworks in Ashbourne and Matlock/Matlock Bath.
A revised timetable will be introduced after the Easter break.

Christmas and New Year Services
Our services will run as usual Monday to Saturday during the festive period, except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.

New Additional Derbyshire Connect service for the Hope Valley
In response to a recent report submitted to Derbyshire Dales District Council about the need for more rural bus services in the Hope Valley, AXT has been successful in securing funding for an additional shopping bus service for the area.
The new service into Buxton, which runs on a Thursday, is available in Bamford, Hathersage, Castleton and Bradwell, and supplements the existing Tuesday service to Chapel en le Frith.

The Derbyshire Connect Hope Valley service is supported by Derbyshire County Council through the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP)

Moorlands Connect Update
Exciting news! Our Sunday service is now back in action! Get ready to hop on board the community bus, as it now operates 7 days a week.
The Moorlands Connect service will run every Sunday between 0900-1700 until 29 September, between Ashbourne, Buxton and Leek and across the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Book your Sunday travel for leisurely strolls, exhilarating bike rides, scenic sightseeing, and all your favourite activities, including trips to Peak Wildlife Park, Tittersworth Reservoir, iconic spa heritage tours in Buxton, charming shops and antique spots in Ashbourne and Leek, as well as indulging in the delights of country cafes, cosy pubs, and exquisite restaurants across the region.

2023 Xmas Raffle and Tombola
Our 2023 raffle and tombola raised c£800. Monies raised in the community are so important for the continuation of our local Dial a Ride services for those with no access to public transport for shopping, healthcare appointments and social outings.
Ashbourne Community Transport therefore thanks all those local businesses, partners (listed below), so many of our regular and loyal passengers who donated prizes, and those drivers and team members who worked to make this year’s programme a success.
The Raffle was drawn on 8th Jan 2024 by Vice Chairman of the Board, Rob Watson and the 10 lucky prize winners informed.

Jump on board our convenient Derbyshire Connect service, available 6 days a week from 07:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays and 08:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays. Enjoy our hassle-free door-to-door service with available spaces on upcoming Saturdays, ideal for a stress-free Christmas shopping experience!
The service runs into Ashbourne, Matlock Bath and Wirksworth covering all villages in between from Newhaven to Bradley and Ashleyhay.

Summer 2023 News Update
Ashbourne Shuttle
The Ashbourne ‘Friday Shuttle’ is now running to all venues around the town. The service operates as follows:

Pickups between 1030 and 1100 and returns 1230-1300h.

Seats must be pre-booked.

The Shuttle is being sponsored for Ashbourne people by Ashbourne Town Council and for a trial period will be FREE.

New Board Member
ACT welcomes Cllr Caroline Cooper as a new Board Member and representative from Ashbourne Town Council.
The Enterprise Foundation
ACT would like to thank its supplier Enterprise -Flexi-Rent and the Enterprise Foundation for a further generous donation of £2500. These funds will be used to support the cost of existing Dial-a-Ride services.
Moorlands Connect – Weekend services
This services which covers Leek, Buxton and Ashbourne – and all villages and destinations between - is open to all.
Moorlands Connect currently runs 7 days per week 0700-1900 Mon-Fri, 0800 to 1800h on Saturday; and 0900-1700h on Sunday.
The Sunday service will operate until 1 October 2023.
Leave the car at home and take your Sunday leisure trip by bus.

Derbyshire Connect
Derbyshire Connect is a door-to-destination bus service open to all running 6 days per week 0700-1900h.
The service runs into Ashbourne, Matlock Bath and Wirksworth covering all villages in between from Newhaven to Bradley and Ashleyhay.
Derbyshire Connect cand make connections with the Swift service to Derby and Uttoxeter; other scheduled services including the 442 to Buxton, the Moorlands Connect; and train services at Cromford.
